Most frost effects can be achieved using either C90, half-size SnowCel, Frost spray or our own DIY frost mix, depending on the look needed, size of area and type of material to be covered.
Light frost
Cadfael - Fields	C90 is a micro-fine white cellulose powder, which is a very inexpensive way to produce a winter landscape. On trees, grass, soil, and other textures it reveals every detail of the surface below registering as a frost, whilst on solid surfaces like roads and buildings the effect is of light snow. A more durable coating can be achieved by lightly spraying with water before applying.
Heavy frost
When the shot calls for a very heavy frost then a half-size version of SnowCel is recommended. This gives a very realistic, durable coating to almost any depth but does need to have the bulk removed for clearing before the residue will wash away to biodegrade. If you require a frost effect to create a freezer interior or similar then our white ice wax can produce an excellent effect.
Frost on glass or similar surfaces
Frost crystals on glass	We offer frost spray in a can, which is a quick and convenient way to produce incredibly realistic frost crystals on glass and acrylic. If however, you feel like doing some of the work yourself, our DIY frost mix is applied by brush so it can be painted precisely where you need it (the mix recipe can be obtained by calling our office).
